This sample opens in the Moscato hills at Relais San Maurizio, then shifts base to Casa di Langa for a deeper push into Barolo and Barbaresco — a single transfer ride links the two, so the journey itself becomes one of the days. Relais San Maurizio
A restored 17th-century abbey above Santo Stefano Belbo, in the Moscato hills northeast of the Langhe — frescoed ceilings, a spa built into the old cellars, and a Michelin-starred kitchen to open the trip.

Arrival at San Maurizio
Arrive into the Moscato hills above Santo Stefano Belbo by early afternoon and settle into a restored 17th-century abbey. Once bags are down, an easy loop through the nearest vineyards works out the travel stiffness — nothing steep, mostly gentle lanes between rows of Moscato. The evening closes with dinner at the relais' Michelin-starred table.

Canelli & The monferrato
A full day immersing in the Monferrato — rolling through hazelnut groves and hilltop villages before reaching Canelli, home to the UNESCO-listed "cathedrals," vast underground cellars cut into the hillside for aging sparkling wine. A private tour and tasting below ground, then a ride back up to Relais San Maurizio for a second night.

Alta Langa
The transfer day: a ride south out of the Monferrato and up into Alta Langa, the Langhe's higher, quieter cousin — chestnut woods and hazelnut orchards giving way to wide ridge-top views, with fewer vineyards and fewer visitors than the valley below. Stops in small stone villages along the way before descending into Barolo country and arriving at Casa di Langa — luggage moves ahead by car, so the ride itself is the only thing to carry.

neive, barbaresco & alba
A gentler day of rolling hills through Neive and into Barbaresco, Nebbiolo's other great expression — a stop at the village's medieval tower for a look back over the Tanaro valley, and a tasting focused on Barbaresco's more elegant, earlier-drinking style, setting up the contrast with the Barolo still to come. A detour into Alba for white truffle in season, before returning to Casa di Langa.

The day the trip has been building to: into Barolo itself, with a private winery tour and tasting at one of the appellation's storied cellars. From there, up to La Morra's balcony — the finest panorama in the Langhe — before a ride back to Casa di Langa to close the week.
