rome & Amalfi coast
Seven nights pairing the heart of ancient Rome with the cliffside towns and coves of the Amalfi Coast
This is a trip built in two halves — the density, history, and cucina romana of Rome, then the slower rhythm of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Two nights in the city cover the essentials — cacio e pepe and carbonara at trattorias worn smooth by generations — without exhausting anyone, then five nights in Sorrento leave room for boats, trails, coastline, a pizza lover's detour through Naples, and beach club afternoons with the Amalfi Coast's own lemon-and-seafood table close at hand. Every element here — pace, hotels, activities, length — is built to be adjusted around you.

Day by Day
01
Arrival in rome
Arrive and settle into Hotel de Russie, tucked between the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo. The evening is left open — a first passegiata through the neighborhood, or a quiet drink in the hotel's secret garden.
02
vatican & rome highlights by golf cart
A private guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, timed to avoid the crowds, followed by an open-air golf cart tour through Rome's historic center — the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Forum and the Colosseum.
03
Naples & Pompeii
A private transfer south toward the Sorrentine Peninsula, with two stops along the way: a pizza lover's tour of Naples for lunch at the birthplace of the Margherita, then a guided tour through the ruins of Pompeii. Continue on to the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, perched above the Bay of Naples, with the evening left free to settle into the gardens and pool.
04
sorrento
A day to explore Sorrento itself — wandering the clifftop streets and lemon groves of the centro storico, with an afternoon at a beach club on the water gazing out to the Bay of Naples. Dinner in town closes the day, with local flavors like gnocchi alla sorrentina, delizia al limone, and a glass of limoncello to finish.
05
capri by private boat
A full day on a private boat to Capri — the Blue Grotto, a swim in the coves beneath the Faraglioni, lunch by boat at exclusive beach clubs, then check out the shops in Capri town before the ride back at sunset.
06
path of the gods
The Amalfi Coast's signature hike, tracing the cliffside trail between Agerola and Positano with views down to the water at every turn, followed by an easy afternoon back at the hotel.
07
amalfi coast
A private driver for the day along the coast road — Positano's stacked pastel houses, Amalfi's cathedral and lemon groves, and Ravello's gardens high above the water.
08
Departure
One last relaxed morning in the Bay of Naples before a private transfer to the airport, or extend your stay further south to Sicily.
This is one way to spend seven nights in Rome & the Amalfi Coast. Yours can look entirely different.
